  •  Environmental Pop Tab competition between the sexes with winners with highest monthly turn-in getting pizza party and sodas at Christmas and spring’s end
  •  Holy Thursday Towel Drive: towels, wash cloths, bar soap, deodorant and shampoo for people to maintain their dignity
  •  Apartment set items collection: linens, cooking and eating utensils, toaster, dish sets, pots & pans etc. to assist women setting up households with children
  •  Bikes, and bike locks and chain Drive: people looking for work or getting to it. (and can’t afford a car)
  •  Back to Work Tool Collection so men can work at vocational jobs new or used but operational:

  •  Manning a table in front of Lowe's or Home Depot, asking people to buy tools as they shop
  •  Back Pack Buddies for him or her: Back packs filled with 3-underwears, 3- t-shirts or 3 bras, 3-razor,
    shave crème, toothpaste & brush, 10 bus tokens, gym shoes (new or good condition), $10 Meier’s card, 3-
    sox, winter gloves and knit cap
  •  Selling soup in a cup with bread, homemade cookies, and /or pizza (in-kind) in front of Kroger’s or
    Wal-Mart as a fundraiser for the poor and homeless. (We supply the soup!)
  •  Collection of left over yarn, material, batting and flannel shirts to be made into afghans, lap blankets,
    baptismal gowns, baby blankets, comforters etc. (Knitters needed too!)
  •  Car wash fundraiser at a high visible, high traffic business owner’s space or the church so we can provide
    social services to people in need
  •  School end-of-semester Lost n Found Collection, sorting, and delivery
  •  Putting on a breakfast after church or sponsoring a fundraiser dinner. (We can help supply the food!)
  •  Selling Thanksgiving turkey feathers to pin on principle/ youth group leader/ as fundraiser for the
    poor
  •  Selling duct tape lengths as a fundraiser to tape a leader to the wall!
  •  Christmas or all occasion gift wrapping services offered as a fundraiser.
  •  Boy Scouts making, painting and selling of birdhouses, ornaments etc. as a fundraiser for the poor
  •  Bake sale to learn team work and cooking skills
  •  Pick up and sorting of Christmas Giving Tree Program or food pantry items
  •  Sizing and sorting clothing pantry items at 185 Shoup Mill Rd.
  •  Creation of desserts for Good Shepherd Ministries events
  •  Placing of wreaths, crosses, blankets on a grave as a fundraiser
  •  Halloween Canned & Dry Food Scavenger Hunt competition
  •  Pack and load estate sale items for our yard sale
  •  Service team to tidy apartments between residents (Vacuum, wipe counters etc.)
  •  Assist with our May & August yard sale set up.
  •  Serving as hosts at a Good Shepherd event
  •  Monthly service team to help the elderly to downsize by moving the furniture they are donating to
    Good Shepherd’ pantry
  •  Martha’s Helpers - individuals or teams preparing apartments for new residents
  •  Office Work - We are in need of volunteers to assist us during  the work day with such things as computer and database work, newsletter preparations, mailings and answering the phone.
